Rahul Kadakia, head of Jewellery for Christie's Americas & Switzerland, said: " In simple terms, it's the best blue diamond in the world." Going by its size and beauty, the diamond that is believed to have been mined in South Africa is expected to fetch $ 25 million ( Rs.150 crore).
Apart from the star attraction of the auction, other fine jewels will also go under the hammer including precious jewellery by Bvlgari, Van Vleef & Arpels, Repossi, Tifanny & Co. and Boucheron among many others famous names. The total sale is expected to cross over $ 100 million.
